Rescued & Reloved
We've recently introduced a brand new collection to the Lisa Taylor brand: 'Rescued & Reloved' and I'd love to tell you a little more about why this capsule collection is so brilliant! If I'm being really honest, I stumbled across the idea of buying these surplus print stocks by accident. I was out with my production partner and we popped into a vast warehouse space so she could pick us some prints for another client. I was mesmerised; literally rows and rows of fabric rolls, from stripes to prints to Broderie Anglaise, any style you can imagine. I felt like I'd entered Aladdin's cave, full of treasures and for the next hour or so, I walked the aisles, gathering swatches of fabrics that I liked, and more importantly, that I thought you might like.
We brought them back to the factory, looked at some of our best selling shapes and costed them up in the new quantities so see whether they would be suitable to sell online. My rational was this; let's rescue some of these prints, make some beautiful pieces and sell them onto you at some great prices. From tops at around £50 and dresses at £75, we created a very small run of limited edition pieces. When they're gone, they're gone and the great thing is, we can offer something different and new everytime!
This new concept insures we are minimising the surplus fabrics heading to landfill, which reduces waste and in turn, helps the environment. It also means we can offer beautiful limited edition styles in unique fabrics, what's not to love?
If you want to have a look at the styles that are currently available, you can shop the capsule collection here.
In the mean time, my question for you is, what would you love to see more of? Checks, woodblocks, pretty florals, 70s retro, stripes, Gingham, spots, plains... I would love to hear your comments as they all help me when I am next sourcing fabrics. Feel free to share your thoughts with me via Instagram! @LisaTaylor_Design
